Eastbay's lousy customer service
Eastbay really bungled my Christmas-gift order and has failed on two attempts to fix this situation. They sent the wrong piece of merchandise — and then did it again and then did it a third time, all for the same transaction. They've proved incompetent and unwilling to make this customer happy. Still waiting for a resolution from a company that clearly does not value customer service. Good luck doing business with them.

I recently purchased a pair of Nike Lunar Racer running shoes through Eastbay. After shopping around I found that no store had any deal better than any other, and all stores on CB were pretty much offering the same coupons. I went with Eastbay for the purchase because it is the store I am most familiar with (have been buying stuff from them since my Little League baseball days, using their mail order catalog), and has a pretty reputable brand. Buying racing shoes is always a bit tricky because very few brick and mortar stores will keep them in stock. I went with Eastbay's sizing recommendation and was not disappointed, the shoes fit as advertised (true to size). They were shipped quickly and arrived on the day I was expecting them, and had I had any problems with the sizing, I am assuming the return process would have been fairly straight forward. Because they had a relatively obscure shoe in stock and shipped them out quickly, I give them 5 stars on product availability. Other than that, everything was pretty standard, they did not hand deliver them to my door or get down on one knee to put them on my feet, nor did they mess anything up along the way. I was happy with the service and if need be, and in the future they have the best, or competitive deal on a product, I will buy from them again.
